A total of 118 candidates were announced, with the TDP contesting 94 seats and the JSP fielding candidates in the remaining 24 constituencies. This initial list marks the beginning of the electoral campaign for both parties.

Lok Sabha Aspirations:

While the primary focus is on the Assembly polls, the JSP has also asserted its ambitions in the Lok Sabha elections by announcing candidates for three out of the state’s 25 parliamentary seats.

Open Door for BJP:

Both N. Chandrababu Naidu, president of the TDP, and Pawan Kalyan, chief of the JSP, have left the door open for a potential alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). They stated that any further developments regarding the BJP’s inclusion would be communicated in due course.

With the announcement of candidates, the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh is taking shape. The potential inclusion of the BJP as an ally would further complicate the electoral scenario and add another dimension to the upcoming polls.
